Wilton's Partner in Sports Recovery
CT Sports Recovery is a physician-led sports recovery and non-surgical pain relief clinic in Westport, about 15 minutes from Wilton Center via Route 33. We are proud to sponsor Wilton Warriors athletics, and that relationship reflects what we do every day: help athletes and active families recover faster and get back to the field, the pool and the trail without surgery or a dependence on medication.
Our team of board-certified DO and MD physicians evaluates every patient personally. We combine hands-on osteopathic manipulation with focused shockwave therapy, PRP and regenerative treatments, red light therapy and EMTT magnet therapy, all in one office. Physician visits are billed to insurance, no referral is required, and same-week appointments are standard.
Who We Help in Wilton
- Wilton High School Warriors in lacrosse, field hockey, soccer, football, basketball, track and swimming, from in-season sprains and strains to the overuse injuries that build up over a long club-and-school calendar.
- Youth athletes in Wilton's lacrosse, soccer, baseball, softball and hockey programs whose parents want a physician's diagnosis, not a wait-and-see.
- Competitive swimmers with shoulder impingement, breaststroker's knee and low-back pain from high training volume.
- Runners, hikers and cyclists on the Norwalk River Valley Trail, at Merwin Meadows and around Weir Farm with IT band syndrome, runner's knee, Achilles tendinopathy or plantar fasciitis.
- Route 7 and Merritt Parkway commuters with neck, shoulder and low-back pain from hours in the car and at a desk.
- Active adults in Cannondale, Georgetown and Wilton Center who want to keep playing tennis, paddle and golf without surgery.
Conditions We Treat
- Sports injuries: sprains, strains, tendonitis, stress reactions and return-to-play recovery
- Concussion evaluation and physician-guided recovery for student-athletes
- Joint and tendon pain in the shoulder, knee, hip, elbow and heel
- Back, neck and sciatica pain, including herniated discs
- Desk and commuter posture pain
- Postpartum stress urinary incontinence
Treatments Available to Wilton Patients
- Osteopathic Manipulation (OMT): hands-on physician treatment that restores mobility and relieves pain at the source.
- Focused Shockwave Therapy: a non-invasive option for stubborn tendon and soft-tissue injuries, with no downtime.
- PRP and regenerative treatments for tendon and joint problems that have not responded to conservative care.
- Red Light, Infrared and EMTT Magnet Therapy to reduce inflammation and support recovery between games.
- Dry Needling and Stretch Therapy to release tight muscles and restore range of motion.
- Peptide and Hormone Optimization for adult patients (18+).
Why Wilton Families Trust CT Sports Recovery
A busy multi-sport athlete cannot afford a vague answer. Our physicians diagnose the specific injury, explain it in plain language and build a plan that gets the athlete back safely and keeps the problem from coming back.
- Physician-led: every evaluation is with a board-certified DO or MD.
- Insurance accepted for covered physician visits. No referral required.
- Same-week appointments, because waiting three weeks for a sports medicine visit can mean missing the season.
- Concussion care handled by physicians, with a recovery plan for school and sport.
- Advanced recovery technology, including focused shockwave and EMTT, that most Wilton-area practices do not offer.
- Honest guidance: if an injury needs imaging, a surgeon or physical therapy, we coordinate it.

Frequently Asked Questions from Wilton Patients
My athlete got hurt at a Wilton Warriors game. How fast can you see them?
Same-week appointments are usually available, and we offer extended hours on Tuesdays. Book online to see every open time, or call (203) 651-5090.
Do you handle concussion evaluations and return-to-play clearance?
Yes. Our physicians evaluate concussions and guide recovery with a plan for returning to school and sport safely. We coordinate with athletic trainers and school staff as needed.
Is the visit covered by insurance?
Your physician evaluation and covered treatments are billed to insurance, and no referral is needed. Some advanced recovery therapies are self-pay, and we explain costs up front.
What is focused shockwave therapy and is it appropriate for a teenager?
Focused shockwave delivers acoustic energy to injured tendon and soft tissue to stimulate healing. It is non-invasive and has no downtime. Whether it is appropriate for a specific patient, including a younger athlete, is a decision our physicians make after an evaluation.
Do you work with athletes who are also training with a club team or private coach?
Yes. We frequently coordinate with club coaches, trainers and physical therapists so the athlete's workload, recovery and treatment plan are aligned.
