Dr. Sampino completed his residency as chief resident in the Eastern Connecticut Health Network Family Medicine Program at Manchester Memorial Hospital in Manchester, Connecticut. During residency he trained alongside orthopedic, osteopathic, sports medicine and regenerative medicine specialists, learning musculoskeletal medicine from several perspectives.

He then stayed on for a year to continue caring for his patients and to teach residents primary care and osteopathic manipulative medicine. In Rhode Island he served as a teaching physician in the Brown University Family Medicine Program and as Osteopathic Site Coordinator for its Pawtucket location before returning to Connecticut, where he now practices.
