Physician-Led Care, One Town Over from Norwalk
CT Sports Recovery is a physician-led sports recovery and non-surgical pain relief clinic located at 215 Main Street in Westport, directly east of Norwalk on the Post Road. We serve patients from every corner of Norwalk, from the SoNo waterfront to Rowayton, East Norwalk, Cranbury and Silvermine. Our board-certified DOs and MD diagnose the real cause of your pain and treat it with a combination of hands-on osteopathic care and advanced recovery technology, including focused shockwave therapy, PRP and regenerative treatments, red light therapy and EMTT magnet therapy.
Norwalk is the largest city in our immediate area and one of the hardest-working. Office workers at Merritt 7 and downtown, tradespeople and hospitality staff who are on their feet all day, rowers and sailors on the river and the Sound, and student-athletes at Norwalk High and Brien McMahon all end up with the same problem: pain that will not go away on its own. We give them a medical answer, not a guess.
Who We Help in Norwalk
- Student-athletes at Norwalk High School and Brien McMahon High School with sprains, strains, tendonitis, overuse injuries or lingering concussion symptoms.
- Rowers, sailors and paddlers from Rowayton and the Norwalk River who are dealing with low-back pain, rib stress injuries, shoulder impingement or wrist and forearm tendonitis.
- Merritt 7 and SoNo office workers with neck pain, headaches, shoulder tightness and low-back pain from long hours at a desk.
- Tradespeople, nurses, restaurant staff and warehouse workers whose jobs keep them standing, lifting and bending, and who are fighting plantar fasciitis, sciatica or knee pain.
- Weekend runners and cyclists on the Norwalk River Valley Trail and at Calf Pasture Beach with IT band pain, runner's knee, shin splints or Achilles tendinopathy.
- Adults of any age who want to avoid surgery and reduce their reliance on pain medication.
Conditions We Treat
Norwalk patients come to us most often for back and neck pain, sports injuries and tendon problems that have not improved with rest, ice or a round of over-the-counter medication.

- Shoulder, knee, hip and elbow pain, tennis and golfer's elbow, plantar fasciitis and heel pain

Frequently Asked Questions from Norwalk Patients
Do you accept insurance for Norwalk patients?
Yes. Your physician evaluation and covered treatments are billed to insurance. Some advanced recovery therapies, such as focused shockwave, red light and peptide programs, are typically self-pay, and we will explain costs clearly before anything starts.
I work shifts and cannot take time off mid-day. Do you have early or late appointments?
We open at 8am Monday through Friday and offer extended hours on Tuesdays (availability varies by provider). Booking online lets you see every open slot and pick one that fits your schedule.
What is the difference between an osteopathic physician and a chiropractor?
An osteopathic physician (DO) is a fully licensed medical doctor who completes medical school and residency and can diagnose, order imaging and prescribe when needed. DOs also train in hands-on osteopathic manipulation. At CT Sports Recovery, every patient is evaluated by a physician before any treatment is recommended.
Can you treat a sports injury my teenager picked up at Norwalk High or McMahon?
Yes. We evaluate and treat sprains, strains, tendonitis, overuse injuries and concussions in student-athletes, and we build a return-to-play plan designed to keep the injury from recurring.
How far is your office from SoNo?
About 10 minutes east on the Post Road. We are on Main Street in downtown Westport with free parking in the rear lot.
Book Your Norwalk-Area Evaluation
