The Non-Surgical Specialists Up the Road from Stamford
CT Sports Recovery is a physician-led sports recovery and non-surgical pain relief clinic at 215 Main Street in Westport, serving Stamford patients who want a medical diagnosis and a plan that does not start with an operation. Our board-certified physiatrist and osteopathic physicians treat the cause of pain with hands-on osteopathic manipulation, focused shockwave therapy, PRP and regenerative treatments, red light therapy and EMTT magnet therapy, all in one office.
We are not a replacement for Stamford's hospital-based orthopedic programs when you need surgery. We are the physicians to see first, or for a second opinion, when you would rather not. Physician visits are billed to insurance, and no referral is required.

Frequently Asked Questions from Stamford Patients
Why would I drive from Stamford when there are large orthopedic groups in town?
Because our practice is built around resolving pain without surgery. If you want a physician's diagnosis and access to focused shockwave, PRP, EMTT and osteopathic manipulation in one place, or a second opinion before committing to an operation, that is what we do.
What is osteopathic manipulation, and who performs it?
Osteopathic manipulation (OMT) is hands-on treatment performed by osteopathic physicians (DOs), who are fully licensed medical doctors. At CT Sports Recovery, OMT is performed by our DO physicians after a medical evaluation.
Do you accept insurance for Stamford patients?
Yes. Physician visits and covered treatments are billed to insurance, and no referral is needed. Advanced therapies such as focused shockwave, PRP, red light and peptide programs are typically self-pay, and we review costs before anything begins.
Can you fit a visit around a Stamford commute?
We open at 8am Monday through Friday and offer extended hours on Tuesdays (availability varies by provider). Booking online shows every open time.
How far is your office from downtown Stamford?
About 20 to 30 minutes via I-95 North to Exit 17, or the Merritt Parkway east to Exit 42 from North Stamford. Free parking is in the rear lot at 215 Main Street, Westport.
