A Different Kind of Sports Medicine Practice, Up the Road from Greenwich
CT Sports Recovery is a physician-led sports recovery and non-surgical pain relief clinic at 215 Main Street in Westport, serving Greenwich, Old Greenwich, Riverside, Cos Cob and Byram patients who want a medical diagnosis and a plan built around avoiding surgery. Our board-certified physiatrist and osteopathic physicians combine hands-on osteopathic manipulation with focused shockwave therapy, PRP and regenerative treatments, red light therapy and EMTT magnet therapy under one roof.
We are not trying to replace Greenwich's hospital-affiliated orthopedic programs when surgery is the right answer. We are the physicians to see first, or for a second opinion, when you would prefer to exhaust non-surgical options. Physician visits are billed to insurance, and no referral is required.

Frequently Asked Questions from Greenwich Patients
Why would I drive from Greenwich when there are excellent orthopedic groups in town?
The groups in town are organized around surgical care; we are organized around avoiding it. Greenwich patients come to us for a physician's diagnosis, a second opinion before an operation, and access to focused shockwave, PRP, EMTT and osteopathic manipulation in one office. We combine treatments per visit when appropriate so the trip is worth it.
What is EMTT magnet therapy?
EMTT (extracorporeal magnetotransduction therapy) uses high-energy electromagnetic pulses to stimulate tissue and calm acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain. It is non-invasive, has no downtime and is often combined with focused shockwave therapy. Whether it is appropriate for your condition is determined at your physician evaluation.
Do you accept insurance for Greenwich patients?
Yes. Physician visits and covered treatments are billed to insurance, and no referral is needed. Advanced therapies such as focused shockwave, PRP, EMTT, red light and peptide programs are typically self-pay, and we review costs before anything begins.
Do you offer peptide or hormone optimization?
Yes, for adult patients (18+). Our peptide and hormone optimization programs are physician-supervised and focused on recovery, energy and performance. Eligibility is determined at a physician evaluation.
How long is the drive from Greenwich?
About 30 to 40 minutes via I-95 North to Exit 17, or the Merritt Parkway east to Exit 42 from backcountry Greenwich. Free parking is in the rear lot at 215 Main Street, Westport.
